Boisterous Badminton

It is officially winter season at my high school. Drill lasts two seasons at my school and I'm not sure if I like it. Last year being on JV, winter was just not as fun as football season is. Football season is super fun because you see all your friends at the games and you perform for large audiences, but basketball season just sort of drags on. But, we are doing competitions for drill so I hope I'm on that team (only 14 out of the 23 are going to be on it).

Anyways, I'm super excited for the spring season at my high school. What does that mean? Badminton! I almost think that I like badminton more than dance. It is just such a fun sport! But once I'm sort of immersed into dance my whole life sort of revolves around it and everything I do. But, when badminton season comes around I'm constantly over at my friend Paige's house playing and practicing.

I actually went to badminton camp over the summer and had such a fun time. The team last year was so great and I loved all of the girls. I'm really excited for this year, but the reason why I brought up this subject is because I'm sort of being "re-introduced" to badminton with open gyms that I've started to attend. I can't wait for badminton season to start this year!

Freshman year was great because no one knew how to play, so it was really just learning how to play. This year I think tryouts will be a bit more competitive because you could potentially make JV or Varsity, but unlike drill I'm jut hoping to make JV for badminton. It's just such a fun sport and I really could care less what team I'm on. These are a few of my favorite photos of me and badminton!

Falling for Fair Isle

I have seriously been seeing fair isle everywhere recently! I'm sure you've seen it before, but you might not know the name for it. I sure didn't until a little while back, when I finally realized what this beloved print was called. I think that it is such a fun pattern and is featured in so many styles of pieces. I love seeing it on sweaters for a fun print and even on cozy warm socks. I think the overall knit is really intricate and I love the incorporation of different colors, but I still love the classic red and white fair isle.

I saw these images from Kiel James Patrick and Sarah Vickers and was just dying. Those two people seriously live a perfect life in perfect clothes. I just want to be them.

I recently found this fair isle sweater from American Eagle, and although it's mens...I don't care. I think that big comfy sweaters are so perfect for the fall and winter. I also love these Madewell socks that are just too cute! I actually just realized that I have a pair of fair isle socks! #swag. I am also oooobbsseeessseeddd with these gloves and hat! Too bad they SOLD OUT! What am I going to do?

If you're looking for some fair isle honestly it's easier to find than it seems.
Gasp!
I was surprised I just searched on a stores website "fair isle" and tons of options came up!

Do you like fair isle?

Oxblood & Stripes

Today. is. an. outfit. post. Like ohehmg I have not done one in so long it's ridiculous. I'm so sorry that I haven't done an outfit post in seriously forever! I think with school back and all I just don't have that much time. But I'm trying to make it work! Especially because I have a quality camera to use so why not have photoshoots all the time!

Anyways, today's outfit is oxblood & stripes. I am styling some cute wine colored cords and a striped top. And since it was just a wee bit sunny I thought I'd break out my new sunnies! They are my new favorite thing. So cute--too bad it's not summer #imissit. I hope you guys like this look and comment below what you guys think!

November Swoons

Hey y'all! So to start a week off fresh today I'm sharing with you my November Swoons. These are my all time favorite products as of right now, the start of November. These are just pretty random, but I'm seriously loving them so much!

Okay, the Merino Sweater. I die. It is absolutely perfect! I am loving this one with the black on black and the leather detailing on the pockets. This sweater is just so cute!

The Robinson Wallet from Tory Burch is just the perfect thing! I'm really thinking about investing in a quality wallet and I think Tory Burch is just the place. The only question is, which color do I choose?

The Gem Necklace from J.Crew is so fun and bright. I love statement necklaces, especially in the fall paired over knit sweaters. It adds the perfect amount of chunky jewelry to a look.

GapBody is probably my favorite thing because all of the items are great! It's just like Lululemon to me, but much more affordable. I love GapBody's leggings, but these shirts are great too! They come in super fun fall hues and they also have thumbholes #bonus!

This leather sleeved top from J.Crew is so cute. I don't know if you can tell, but I've been loving leather accents for the fall. They are so fun!

I am on the lookout for a cute pair of flats and Club Monaco has some great ones! This color is so cute! I'm also loving J.Crew Factory's rendition and of course Joie.

What are your November Swoon's?

J.Crew Factory Faves

I feel like everyone has been posting about the recently added items from J.Crew Factory, but honestly they are just too cute not to mention! I have always loved J.Crew Factory since I first discovered it. It is basically the same as J.Crew and has the same cute style. I would say the quality is less than J.Crew, but it's not horrible quality whatsoever.

Anyways, the items on J.Crew Factory right now are making me swoon! They are so cute and perfect! These are my absolute favorites!

I love the combination of the pattern and the leather trim!

This sweater is just too fun! I love it!

I saw this in the store and I was dying. It's so cute and festive for the wintertime!

I actually need this in my closet now. I'm legit obsessed! It's so cute and can be worn so many ways!

This is perfect for the holiday season! It's adorable!

The perfect pair of shoes! They are so cute I actually need these!

Have you seen J.Crew Factory's recent items?

Confessions of a Blogger

Okay so technically this isn't a tag because I wasn't tagged to do this, but I just saw it online and thought I would start it. I'll tag a few people at the end too!

So my main purpose of this is for my readers to know a little bit more about me and my blog itself! Hope you like it!

When did you first start blogging?
My first post was on my first blog Preppy Daily and it was posted on May 1, 2013.

Have you had any past online presence (YouTube, other blog)?
Before Preppy Daily I had created like five YouTube accounts and ended up posting a haul video on one of them. I've been searching around for it, but I seriously can't even find it!

Why did you start a blog?
I started a blog because I saw that an old friend Frannie had started her own blog. My friend actually found Frannie's blog and I was legit obsessed. Around a year later I thought it would be something fun to do and now I absolutely love it! I love the sense of such a community and I love meeting new people through blogging!

When did you become serious about starting a blog?
I would say never. My blog is something that I definitely take pride in and love posting on, but it has not turned into anything big yet. It's just something I do for fun and I love having others read it too!

What was your first post?
My first post was on Preppy Daily and it was just me talking about myself and why I started my blog.

What has been your biggest challenge about blogging?
For me it's just managing it all :: blogging, social life, sports, school, etc. It's just a ton, but I would never stop blogging! I love it way too much!

Where do you see your blog in one year?
I would probably see it as having a more professional looking design and rep. I think that a lot can happen in a year and I definitely want to take blogging to the next level at some point and make it more than just a hobby.

What is the most rewarding thing to you about blogging?
I think for me is all of the people that I have connected to through blogging. I've never actually met any of the people that I'm blogging buddies with, besides Frannie (who I grew up with), but I really want to meet some of the people that I am constantly talking to through blogging.

What is the most discouraging thing that happens to you?
I think sometimes the hardest thing is when you first start out or if you aren't getting any feedback on your blog. But honestly it all just takes time. For me I just kept on commenting on the bigger blogs and soon they start to take note and maybe even check out your blog. That is how I know what blogs I read. I read whoever reads mine really! And obviously a few others!

What's your lasting inspiration or motivation?
I think that blogging is not only a fun way to say what I want, but also I love going back over my old posts and kind of just reminiscing on my whole life. Also I love meeting new people and commenting on their blogs and them commenting on my mine and connecting with people all over!

I TAG:

Frannie | The Blonde Prep

New York, New York

So I'm convinced that I'm going to New York for Spring Break because my Mother keeps on continually saying that we should really go on a road trip and go there. Now, I'm assuming that we'll actually go (and we better go) because I've been making plans of what to do in New York.

I've neve been to NYC, but I'm absolutely looking forward to it (again, if we go). I think the shopping will be so much fun especially hitting up Brandy Melville, LF, Bergdorf Goodman, and more! And here's a little inspiration for my (hopefully) upcoming trip to New York.

Have you ever been to New York?
